Myspace and MTV are joining forces!

ast night Myspace.com and MTV brought Arizona senator John McCain to Southern New Hampshire University to talk about his place in the 2008 presidential election. Now when many teens and American's think of the election the candidates running through their minds most likely are Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, and possibly even Rudy Giuliani. Although John McCain is now the name on millions of voters mind's after his appearance on MTV/MySpace Presidential Dialogue which took place on December 3, 2007.

Senator John McCain was the first republican to be on the show. Before him two other candidates appeared on the show which were Barack Obama, and John Edwards. The event was broadcast live on MTV, MySpace, ChooseOrLose.com and on mobile devices via MTV Mobile; and translated live into Spanish via ImpreMedia's LaVibra.. Finally these companies are doing something to make a difference in our lives. In the previous years many Americans did not know very much about the candidates they were voting for, now they are able to know more information about what they plan to do. John McCain came opened the show with some laughter and jokes that he TRIED to present. McCain joked that he is “older than dirt” with “more scars than Frankenstein.” This loosened up the tough crown before him. McCain expressed that the questions from the young college students were "quality questions" this being said they students are becoming more aware of the issues in American and through out the world.

If interviews like this continue airing many of us Americans will be ready to vote for the right president, not the president that be hear more about or read more about. But the one who will be able to put America in the right direction!

While Grey's anatomy is rising up in the rating for television shows, so is the color gray! The new black of the season is heading toward the clean color of gray. The color freshens up the traditional fall wardrobe full of blacks and browns. It's flattering on any complexion and as a neutral, it works with almost every color of clothing or accessory, even yellow gold. Designers all over the world are putting gray into their season collection. Gray is the color to buy now. If you take a walk down Madison or fifth avenue an look into the store windows the manikin's are dressed in gray from head to toe. Gray is even making its may to cosmetics and nail polish colors. Millions of people are running to the stores this season to buy out limited edition collections of silver/gray cosmetics. Not only will people be dressing in gray suits for work but also in gray for a Sunday afternoon or even a Friday night out!!

Trouble for the Mogul!

Kimora Lee Simmons is being sued by Macy's department store. So overcharging Macy’s for her beauty products and then refused to pay back the extra profit, according manhattan Supreme Court. In September 2006, four months after Simmons separated from her multimillionaire husband, Def Jam Records co-founder Russell Simmons, she signed an agreement to provide Macy’s with her line of cosmetics. But then she allegedly jacked up the price of her beauty products. Simmons declined comment. Kimora is now not only facing a lawsuit from Macy's but is now also having to deal with her husband Russell Simmons' new girlfriend Porschla Coleman. The mother of two little girls Ming Lee and Aoki Lee is said to be dating Oscar nominee Djimon Hounsou. Hope all goes well with the lawsuit.

Make a Difference

During this Christmas there are many children and families without presents, warm clothes, and even a Christmas tree. Instead of spending time and money on unnecessary things we all should try to take time and notice these people without. Think about what problems, diseases and mental issues they are going through each and everyday. Just this past weekend I walked into a group of students selling toys and asking for money for the children in the local hospital that will be spending their Christmas alone and sick. The toys they were selling were for toddlers and the money went straight to the hospital. Since the toys were not to my interest I brought the toy for seventeen dollars and donated it to the hospital. Little things that don't seem to matter really can make a difference.

It's mandatory for all resident students to have a meal plan with $1,300.00 and having it is the end of November I find myself with a lot of money left over on my storm card. So instead of letting the money be returned to the school what I think I may do is give it to shelters. Buy canned foods and other food for the poor and donate it to the Red Cross or even the campus ministry.

Pregnant Again!

Sources tell us that public most notorious is PREGNANT again! Britney Spears is a mother of two children with ex husband Kevin Federline aka "K-FED". Media and celeb gossips queens are having a field day with Ms. Spears lately. First she marries a back up dancer who was once before her ex Justin Timberlake's dancer. Britney then has two children with K-Fed, she then ends things with him and begins to go downhill. People say when she hung out with heiress Paris Hilton she began becoming this monster and not focusing on the important things in her life. She lost all connection with her mother, and then shaves all her hair off her head. She is accused of drug use and now cannot even have full custody of her sons.

So are we to now about to buy all the magazines that have her on the cover. Or do we not buy anything supporting this star, and let the paparazzi realize to let her be and live her own life with media. I say if she is expecting leave her alone and allow her to take full responsibility of her own life.

And the Winner is???

And the winners are??? That is what over 20 million viewers have been waiting to hear for months now. Dancing with the Stars, season finale aired live in Hollywood last night. Several months of sweat and tears came down to this one spectacular night. Producers of the show even invited Celine Dione to perform at last's night’s show.

MARIE OSMOND, HELIO CASTRONEVES, and MELANIE BROWN "Mel B", were the three competitors left in the season finale.

Many may know Marie Osmond from co-host of the popular variety program, The Donny & Marie Show. Helio Castroneves is the two-time Indianapolis 500 champion began the celebratory tradition of climbing the racetrack fence in 2001, racing for Team Penske. A native of Brazil, Castroneves is partner and owner of the NasrCastroneves racing team, which competes in the Brazilian Stock Car V8 Championship. He has amassed twelve wins and forty-nine top five finishes during his IndyCar career.

Last but not least there was MELANIE BROWN - "Mel B.," a.k.a. "Scary Spice," is best known as a member of the Spice Girls, the hit British music group that put "girl power" on the map and took the world by storm in 1996. For the first time in six years, she reunites with her four band mates to embark on a world tour this December. Some of the other competitors that were competing in the show were Wayne Newton, Sabrina Bryan, Mark Cuban, Jennie Garth, Josie Maran, Cameron Mathison, Floyd Mayweather, Albert Reed, and Jane Seymour.

So the winner was Helio Castroneves and his partner professional dancer Julianne Hough. Julianne has only been in the series show twice and won both times. Last year her partner was Apollo. Congratulations HELIO and JULIANNE!!!

American Gangster an American Classic

Last Friday November 2nd was the premier of American Gangster. The following night November 3rd I went to the Battery Park movie theater to see the movie. Denzel Washington, Russell Crow, hip hop superstar Common, and TI are just a few of the amazing actors in American Ganger. In my opinion this is the best movie Denzel Washington has acted in ever! Although I wish I can say the same for Russell Crow. Russell Crow will still be known for his outstanding performance in Gladiator, and Cinderella Man. I have to say this is one of the movies to buy and collect when it’s released on DVD. I enjoying watching a “mobster” movie based on African Americans instead of Italians for once. I give this movie 4 star out of 5. Go see this movie ASAP.
